Many patients may experience difficulty swallowing due to head and neck cancer/surgical treatment of cancer, and chemo-radiation. Our specialists are here to help and focus on evidence based practice. 

Expiratory muscle strength training (EMST) uses a special device to strengthen the muscles used for forceful exhalation, which can help improve swallowing function by enhancing airway protection and cough strength. 

Our skilled Speech Language Pathologists can help with management of a tracheoesophageal voice prosthesis (TEP) and correct sizing/fit. 

Electrolarynx is a device that uses vibrations to produce sound and the mouth then shapes the sound into words. This can be an effective method of communication after a total laryngectomy.
